GRACIE BARRA NEW MEXICO
11 YEARS OF EXCELLENCE!

Professor Russ is a true inspiration to all of his students here at GBNM.
Professor Russ met professors Tussa and Barata 9 years ago and it was their passion for Gracie Barra and Jiu Jitsu that pushed him to try a class. Like many of you, he immediately fell in love with the sport and has never stopped training.

Born and raised in Santa Fe, Russ is truly a pioneer at Gracie Barra New Mexico and he has working experience in all critical areas of the academy.  His first job was ensuring our school was always clean and looking great. Russ hard work paid off as he was promoted to Program Director and now to expert black belt instructor. With great technique and enthusiasm he took over the Kids Program at GB West Side; and you can see the impact on the team. He now teaches some of the Adult classes at GB West Side. So come out and try one of his classes!

In addition to learning and teaching Brazilian Jiu Jitsu, Professor Russ studied and became a certified Yoga Instructor. He is inspirational and devoted to his lifestyle and students feel his passion in every class. He is absolutely one of the reasons our team is so strong and united. Thank you for all that you do Professor Russ!
